Junior Project Manager (Mechanical)

Overview of the Role:
As part of a dynamic, multi-skilled and small team, your role is to support the delivery of engineering projects on time, within budget and in line with scope and delivery expectations. You will primarily work from home, with a requirement to attend client sites. You will assist in developing project management processes, help identify appropriate project management tools, and support engagement with suppliers and partner organizations to promote company growth.
The Role:
* Assist senior project managers in coordinating mechanical and electrical multidisciplinary projects.
* Support the management of project lifecycles, from design through to final handover.
* Help coordinate and liaise with third-party providers, consultants, and design engineers.
* Contribute to planning and monitoring project budgets, schedules, and progress reports.
* Ensure compliance with Health & Safety procedures and technical standards.
* Assist in preparing project scope documents, technical requirements, and installation details.
* Attend client and site meetings to provide updates and address project issues.
* Support the preparation of cost estimates and technical proposals for new enquiries.
* Track project progress and financials under the guidance of senior staff.
* Contribute to validating energy savings and performance results from delivered upgrades.
Required qualifications and experience:
* 2-3 years of experience (including internships or graduate roles) in project coordination or project support within engineering, energy, or related fields.
* Familiarity with building systems such as heat pumps, HVAC, lighting, boilers, cooling systems, BMS/EMS, etc., and energy efficiency technologies.
* Basic understanding of power generation and renewable energy systems.
* Awareness of project management principles and stakeholder engagement (formal training or certification is a plus).
* Bachelor's degree in engineering, energy systems, project management, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
* Willingness to learn and develop strong analytical, decision-making, planning, and negotiating skills.
* Proficient in project management software and tools; familiarity with Google Workspace and is a plus.

Salary:
€35,000–€45,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Location and Travel:
Celtic Dynamic's is based in Galway City, Co. Galway, Ireland. There will be a requirement for travel throughout Ireland for the purposes of projects, meetings and conferences as well as travel abroad if required.
