Role Overview
As an Electronic Health Record Systems Specialist at Optum, you will play a vital role in revolutionizing the healthcare industry by enhancing healthcare technology and improving patient care. You will collaborate with a dynamic team of experts to design, build, and implement Epic modules, configure system settings, and develop strong relationships with operational stakeholders.
About the Role
At Optum's newest Electronic Health Record Centre of Excellence in Letterkenny, Ireland, you will embark on a comprehensive training program that equips you with the skills and knowledge needed to excel in your assigned area. Your responsibilities will include:
* Providing product function, design, build, and testing for assigned Epic modules
* Working alongside end-users to design, scope, and implement enhancements
* Configuring system settings to resolve issues efficiently, adhering to Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
* Developing, maintaining, and supporting critical workflow documentation, test scripts, and configuration guides for essential application functions
* Monitoring the performance of healthcare applications in real-world settings
* Working with trainers to develop and update training materials
* Developing strong relationships with operational stakeholders, customers, and business partners
Key Qualifications
We are seeking candidates with:
* Proven ability to partner with others to define and document business requirements, project plans, or other objectives
* Strong communication, relationship management, and collaboration skills
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (inc. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint)
Preferred Qualifications
Candidates with experience in scheduling, booking, coordination, billing, finance, accounts, customizing, testing, optimizing, training, and implementation of new systems, processes, upgrades, or enhancements are highly preferred. A degree or diploma education in a clinically related field, health informatics, computer science, business administration, supply chain, or hospitality management is also desired.
