Social network you want to login/join with:Manufacturing Maintenance Supervisor, CorkClient: CplLocation: Cork, IrelandJob Category: OtherEU work permit required: YesJob Reference: d7783a16927cJob Views: 3Posted: 27.04.2025Expiry Date: 11.06.2025Job Description:An exciting new vacancy for a Manufacturing Maintenance Supervisor is now open at our client's site in Blarney.The Role:The Manufacturing Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for directing and coordinating all technical and maintenance activities to support production in a safe, cost-effective, and environmentally friendly manner, ensuring capacity and achieving plant performance metrics.Duties Include:Lead and drive continuous improvement initiatives based on equipment data and reliability analysis.Apply effective preventative and corrective maintenance methods, including review and optimization of existing Preventative Maintenance activities.Develop and monitor department KPIs such as MTBF, MTTR, OEEs, schedule attainment, labour utilization, work order backlog, PM/calibration completion rates, spare parts usage, and costs.Champion asset condition management using new technologies, emphasizing non-intrusive testing, predictive maintenance, and monitoring.Supervise employees, assign work, coordinate training, and handle issues up to disciplinary level.Ensure adherence to Attendance Management policies.Recruit and select technicians for the department.Manage performance through appraisals, reviews, and evaluations.Provide a safe, injury-free workplace.Ensure compliance with Environmental, Health, and Safety legislation and procedures.Partner with Quality to ensure compliance with standards and foster a culture of right first time (RFT) for product quality.Who You AreEngineering Degree (Level 8) in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent.Minimum 8+ years’ experience in a leadership role within engineering/maintenance, preferably in Life Science, Medical Devices, or Pharmaceutical industries.Experience or qualification in Reliability Engineering is advantageous; trades qualification is a plus.Effective team leadership and collaboration skills.Proactive, responsible, and analytical, with Lean Six Sigma knowledge.Familiarity with GMP requirements in a regulated industry.Excellent communication skills, self-motivated, and well-organized.What We OfferWe value diversity and inclusion, fostering a culture that encourages development and growth.
