Largely remote IT assistance in updating and developing a user-friendly online presence. Proficiency in Wordpress, particularly with elementor add-on, and moderate AI fluency, are essential. The prospective candidate will have a sound grounding, and appreciation for, Catholic intellectual culture, and desire a way to express this to an online community. They will work hand-in-hand with a catholic priest-astrophysicist wishing to engage young adults with real life questions relating to our complex and often confusing world of change. One 8-hour day per month, or shorter days, adding up to a total of 8 hours paid work per month will be offered. The work will be highly flexible and creative, where web3 presence will also be developed over time.
In the medium term, an in-person community will be formed and supported to continue the work of a new charitable organisation to be established, the Ferrum institute, that seeks greater community engagement and dialogue between the modern world and the Catholic community. A core belief of this new movement is that faith and reason, science and Judeo-Christian religions, are not only compatible but are essential partners in forming a more safe, secure and peaceful future. From this bedrock Western civilisation arose and brought innumerable benefits to the world, and can do so again. From this foundation will arise the surest response to the climate and ecological crisis facing humanity, based on being created Imago Dei.
