Role:
Our client is looking for an experienced Linux Infrastructure Engineer (DevOps/HPC).
Responsibilities:
Provide Day to Day Farm support to Linux based Compute Farm (OnPrem & Cloud)
Able to support the system upgrades and workload migrations, acceptance testing, and maintenance.
Able to understand R&D specific requirements and current technology trends.
Virtualization & Cloud knowledge would be an advantage.
Specific Ongoing Duties
Provide system/farm, storage, and networking expertise for timely resolution of R&D user issues in Compute farms.
Work closely with R&D user community to improve user productivity and farm resource utilization.
Work with M&A team to bring workload to the Farm
Regular knowledge transfers to direct team and cross-functional peers in IT.
Automate the repeated activities to create bandwidth.
Work with global teams in different time zones to achieve common goals.
Requirements
Four Year degree (Computer Science, Information Systems or relational functional field) and/or equivalent combination of education or work experience.
6-8 years of professional experience in the field of Information Technology and preferably in EDA industry
Experience with Linux system admin, performance fine tuning, compiler optimization, kernel, tcp/ip fine tuning. Knowledge of cpu/memory internals and processes would be an advantage.
Operating system platform technology knowledge from major vendors and open source solutions, including Linux, LSF, Slurm, Elastic Search, Jenkins, Source Code Control systems etc.
Should be able to learn Agentic AI and created Agent for all repeated and automation tasks
Experience with Cloud Computing architecture in a hybrid model will be a significant benefit.
Should have good scripting knowledge and DevOps skills for automation tasks
Hands-on experience and Good knowledge with troubleshooting various user job issues in a Compute farm.
Should have good communication skills both verbal and written
Should be self-driven and dynamic in a fast-paced environment.
