Environments Co-Ordinator – Hybrid working – Market Rate – 6 Months+
An initial 6-month hybrid working client engagement to build capability in coordinating and curating development, testing, and non-production environments.
A highly organized and technically proficient Environments Co-Ordinator is required to oversee the planning, delivery, and support of IT test environments and software lifecycles.
This role is critical in ensuring that development and QA teams have stable, timely, and well-managed environments to support agile delivery in a dynamic Energy and Utilities setting.
To apply, you should have the following skills and experience:
1. Proven experience in environment coordination or IT operations within the Energy, Utilities, or similarly regulated industry.
2. Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), project management methodologies, and environment management.
3. Experience with virtualized / cloud platforms and hybrid environments, including VMware and Linux.
4. Working knowledge of databases (SQL Server, Oracle) and scripting (PowerShell, Bash).
5. Excellent communication, planning, and stakeholder management skills.
6. Understanding of ITIL processes and tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira).
Desirable Qualifications:
1. ITIL Foundation Certification.
2. Project Management, Agile, or Scrum certification or experience.
3. Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
4. Experience with SCADA systems, smart metering, or grid technologies.
