Overview
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Planning and Scheduling Specialist in Dunboyne Biologics. The role is responsible for creating direct material forecasts and order execution to meet the needs of the site value stream.
Responsibilities
* Ensure that assigned direct material planning categories are executed as per the site budget and approved plan of record for the site.
* All planning and execution activities are completed in the site’s SAP system, with the Supply Chain planner playing a key role in master data maintenance and business analytics.
* Be comfortable working on new product introductions (NPI) during early demand definition and expedited ordering processes.
* Continuously improve the Material Management Process on site.
* Ensure material forecasting is kept current in the site’s ERP system in line with the material planning cycle.
* Ensure purchase orders are placed in line with lead times and agreed SLAs with site customers.
* Work closely with the Material Availability Team to communicate the material ordering plan.
* Build an excellent relationship with suppliers of assigned categories to ensure value is created and delivered for the site.
* Track and challenge assigned supplier safety, quality, delivery, and cost metrics.
* Minimize obsolescence with the site Production Planners who allocate Direct Material to the production orders.
* Ensure material planning processes meet schedule needs while balancing safety, quality, and cost.
* Network with above-site ERP subject matter experts to build expertise in oneself and others.
* Work with global product teams and global supply chain stakeholders to ensure the site plan of record incorporates global demand information.
What Skills You Will Need
* SAP – Proficiency in material requirement planning.
* Minimum 3 years of Direct Material planning experience in a similar position.
* Experience in NPI desirable.
* Biologics drug substance manufacturing experience is desired.
* 3rd Level Qualification required – Technical, Supply Chain, APICS, Business.
* Six Sigma Yellow Belt desirable
* MS applications - Outlook, Word, advanced Excel
* Enterprise mindset to ensure the right priorities are set for the site.
* Stakeholder Engagement, Influencing and Management skills.
* Excellent collaboration, communication & problem-solving skills
