As part of this growth, we are looking for a Data Scientist to play a key role in advancing programmatic advertising systems and bidding optimization strategies within a highly data-intensive environment.
This role sits at the intersection of machine learning, large-scale data systems, and real-time decisioning. You will work on optimizing advertising performance through advanced modelling techniques while collaborating with global teams to bring algorithms from concept to production.
What You’ll Be Doing
Design and enhance bidding strategies within programmatic advertising platforms.
Develop and refine machine learning models to improve auction outcomes and ad delivery.
Drive continuous performance improvements through experimentation and iteration.
Work with large-scale datasets to engineer meaningful features for model training.
Build and maintain robust data pipelines for scalable model development.
Ensure high standards of data quality and reliability.
Analyse advertising performance data to uncover trends and optimization opportunities.
Deliver actionable insights that directly impact campaign performance and efficiency.
Design A/B tests and simulation frameworks to validate new approaches.
Monitor and evaluate model performance using key business and technical metrics.
Act as a bridge between regional teams and global data science/engineering groups.
Translate research and algorithm updates into production-ready solutions.
Ensure consistency across systems, methodologies, and performance benchmarks.
Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or similar.
3+ years’ experience in data science, machine learning, or related fields.
Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, and statistical analysis.
Experience with machine learning (supervised & unsupervised).
Proficiency in Python and libraries such as Pandas, Scikit-learn, PyTorch or TensorFlow.
Experience working with large-scale data tools (SQL, Spark, Hadoop).
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.
Ability to translate business challenges into data-driven solutions.
Fluent in Mandarin and English, with strong communication skills.
Experience with reinforcement learning or sequential decision-making.
Background in programmatic advertising, ad tech, or auction systems.
Familiarity with real-time bidding (RTB) environments.
Experience working in distributed or global teams.
