Eligibility to participate on CE is generally linked to those who are 21 years or over and in receipt of a qualifying social welfare payment for 1 year or more or 18 years and over for certain disadvantaged groups. Your eligibility will have to be verified by the Department.
To register your interest you can contact an Employment Personal Advisor (EPA) in your local Intreo Centre.
Applicants should supply suitable character references and be prepared to complete a Garda vetting application form.
Responsibilities
This is a developmental opportunity, no experience necessary. Accredited training will be provided to support your career.
Have a pleasant, approachable and welcoming nature.
Adhere to Finglas Childcare policies and procedures and relevant childcare legislation.
Assisting Senior Childcare staff in implementing daily routines, positive interactions, observations and conflict resolution.
Support children's development.
Support children during personal routines – feeding.
Ensure children's health and well being is protected.
Ensure the work area is clean.
Attend required training to progress your career in the Childcare Sector.
Avail of support and supervision.
Be willing to gain your Childcare Qualification and take part in all Mandatory and any further training to enhance your career goal.
