Job Title: Garden Care Specialist
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Garden Care Specialist to support the development of our tranquil gardens. The successful candidate will oversee the administrative management and support within the garden and retail team, ensuring an exceptional level of service to customers.
* Administration Management: Oversee allotments, usage, numbers, and maintenance; liaise with accounts regarding payments.
* Stock Management: Check delivery notes against supplier invoices for payment, report order discrepancies, and problems to the Head of Horticulture & Garden Retail, liaise with suppliers regarding invoicing discrepancies.
* Retail Support: Provide relief cover for the retail shop assistant as required and instructed by the Head of Horticulture & Garden Retail.
* Customer Experience: Ensure a high standard of service to customers is always delivered, including answering questions, giving advice, and guidance on product selection where required.
* Stock Marketing: Support the garden retail shop assistants in developing marketing ideas and promoting relevant stock which could include live demonstrations and interactive displays to promote unique merchandise.
* Horticultural Programme & Event Management: Support the Head of Horticulture & Garden Retail with organizing events in terms of promotional communications, undertake any other reasonable duties assigned by the Head of Horticulture & Garden Retail.
The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal and communication skills, experience in administration and inventory management, good Excel and database management skills, a customer-focused mindset, and problem-solving abilities.
