IT Audit & Security Manager Perm Dublin (Hybrid 2-3 days a week onsite)
We are seeking an experienced and motivated IT Audit Manager to join a growing professional services team.
The successful candidate will ideally have experience in professional services and a strong understanding of managing a portfolio of IT audit clients, overseeing IT auditors, and delivering high‑quality client service. The candidate should have experience delivering IT audits within outsourced or co‑sourced internal audit models across sectors such as industry, financial services, and the public sector.
Key Responsibilities
Managing a portfolio of internal IT audits of varying size, scope, and complexity
Building and maintaining strong client relationships
Developing audit plans and scoping audits where the team operates in an outsourced or co‑sourced internal audit capacity
Overseeing audit fieldwork, including managing, guiding, and reviewing junior team members
Reviewing audit working papers to ensure quality and compliance with standards
Drafting audit reports, including clear audit findings and practical recommendations
Liaising with audit teams and client management throughout engagements
Presenting audit findings at audit committee meetings
Ensuring internal quality standards and audit methodologies are followed
Contributing to the growth and development of the IT audit practice
Supporting the development, mentoring, and training of IT audit staff
Assisting in the ongoing enhancement of internal IT audit methodologies
Ideal Candidate
Minimum of 5 years' IT audit experience, preferably within a professional services environment
Previous experience performing internal IT audits, particularly within the financial services sector (co‑sourced, outsourced, or similar delivery models)
Experience managing or supervising IT audit teams
Degree in Audit, IT, Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline
Professional IT audit certification such as CISA, CISM, or equivalent
Strong knowledge across a range of technologies including applications, infrastructure, networking, and IT general controls
Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
Strong project management and organisational abilities
The following would be advantageous
Experience with AI or algorithmic auditing
Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, NIS‑D)
Experience in the payments or financial technology sector, including familiarity with standards and regulations such as PCI‑DSS, PSD2, and Secure Customer Authentication
Technical qualifications in cybersecurity, networking, or infrastructure
Experience with Operational Technology (OT) or Engineering Technologies
