A leading international consultancy is continuing to grow its Environment team in Dublin and is looking to bring in a Principal Environmental Consultant to take a lead role across major infrastructure and development projects.This is a senior position with real influence as you’ll be working across high-profile schemes in the water, energy and transport sectors, leading environmental inputs from early strategy through to planning and delivery. It’s a strong fit for someone who enjoys a mix of technical leadership, client engagement and mentoring, while still staying close to project work.ProjectsLarge-scale infrastructure and development projects typically ranging from €20M up to €300M+Environmental Impact Assessment Reports (EIARs) and wider environmental studiesMajor projects across water, energy and transport sectorsMultidisciplinary schemes alongside engineering, planning and environmental teamsRoleLeading the delivery of complex environmental projects from inception through to completionTaking ownership of EIAR coordination and environmental reportingManaging multidisciplinary teams and coordinating inputs across projectsActing as a technical lead, reviewing and approving key environmental deliverablesManaging client relationships and engaging with stakeholders and regulatorsSupporting bids and contributing to business development activitiesMentoring junior team members and supporting overall team growthDriving quality, innovation and best practice across environmental assessmentsRequirementsDegree in Environmental Science, Engineering or a related disciplineSignificant consultancy experience, particularly in EIAR coordination and deliveryStrong understanding of Irish planning and environmental legislationProven experience managing large-scale environmental or infrastructure projectsChartered status (or working towards it) is desirableStrong communication skills and ability to lead both projects and teamsExperience contributing to bids and wider business development is an advantageSalary & Benefits€65,000 – €75,000 (DOE) + BenefitsHybrid working model with strong flexibility with office locationsOpportunity to lead high-impact, nationally significant projects (Rail, Energy, Transport, Greenways)Clear progression into Senior leadershipCollaborative, multidisciplinary team environment
