Job Title: Strategic Procurement Specialist
We are presently recruiting for a strategic procurement specialist to lead our supply chain network. Reporting to the Regional Operations Manager, we require someone with extensive knowledge and experience of dealing with engineering suppliers.
Key Responsibilities:
* Analysing and optimising the Supply Chain
* Material planning and management
* Procurement and follow up of materials, subcontracts and services
* General administration of all relevant processes including purchase orders, subcontract operations, sales orders, receipting, invoicing, stock adjustments etc
* Liaising with suppliers, and visiting supplier facilities as necessary
* Working with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth operations
* Optimising inventory levels to meet business needs
Qualifications and Experience Required:
* Minimum 3 years' experience required in a purchasing role, ideally with an Engineering company
* A recognised qualification in a related discipline such as engineering or logistics
* Experience in Engineering/manufacturing environments is highly advantageous
* Strong negotiation, IT skills, analytical and organisational skills
* Advanced skills with formulas and complex financial spreadsheets in MS Excel
* Experience of material planning and contract management with an ERP system
