About the team
The Startup SaaS Platform team works with European startups in one of the company’s highest-priority segments. At the company, SaaS platforms are companies that use the company to embed payments and make financial services a core part of their product. Their partnership with the company is an important part of their growth, such as with companies like Shopify, Mindbody, and Lightspeed.
SaaS platforms are a global priority for the company, and our team identifies and develops the company’s future strategic accounts in Europe. We partner with high-potential companies, helping them use the company’s solutions to better support their users, scale internationally, and create new revenue streams through payments and financial services.
What you’ll do
As an Account Executive (Existing Business), you will build partnerships between the company and innovative, fast-growing software platforms by helping them understand how the company’s online commerce infrastructure can support their business goals and create value for their customers.
Responsibilities

Directly manage and nurture a named account list, and develop account plans to grow and expand business with SaaS platform startups
Build and maintain strong relationships with C-level executives, and coordinate the right executive touchpoints
Own the full sales cycle from lead generation through close
Work with leaders across Engineering, Product, and Finance to lead complex product workshops and financial analysis
Lead complex, bespoke commercial and contractual negotiations
Contribute to our platform partnership strategy and help build repeatable processes and scalable engagement models
Collaborate on team projects to refine and improve our sales process
Partner with Product and Engineering teams to help inform product strategy

Who you are
You are a skilled salesperson and relationship manager who can engage confidently in business and technical conversations at multiple levels of an organization, including the CTO, COO, and CFO. You have experience working with startups and understand the buyer journey. You can lead a complex, multi-party sale in a consultative and thoughtful way.
You are comfortable building value in competitive situations and enjoy working on products that require both technical understanding and strong commercial judgment. You are analytical, curious, and enjoy understanding business models and helping customers evaluate investment decisions.
You are proactive about prospecting and can independently lead a sales cycle from start to finish. You also enjoy building, whether that means contributing to sales process development, sharpening the value proposition, or creating tools and assets that help the team succeed.

Minimum requirements

5+ years of sales experience selling a technical product, with a track record of strong performance
Proven experience moving sales opportunities from inception to close by leading complex, multi-party sales in a consultative manner
Strong listening skills and the ability to become a trusted resource for decision-makers across technology and finance functions within software companies
Ability to understand complex technical problems and how the company’s solutions can address them
Proven ability to lead complex negotiations involving bespoke commercial agreements
Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment
Strong interest in technology and comfort using AI tools
Fluent in Italian and English
