Job Overview
* An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Financial Accountant to join us in Dublin, strengthening our Finance & Controlling team across EMEA and Freight Forwarding.
The successful candidate will play a key role in the month end close and be the main point of contact for audits of all Irish entities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Review and analysis of SG&A month end close, providing meaningful variance analysis and commentary against budget / forecast
* Responsible for timely and accurate month end close of 3 operating sites, providing meaningful variance analysis and commentary against budget / forecast
* Preparation of Yearly Budget for 3 entities
* Manage and lead the Finance accounts assistant
* Conduct various analysis on own initiative and request from senior management, reporting back findings and recommendations
* Managing the yearly Group and Statutory Audits
* Production of statutory accounts for 12 entities
* Manage and reconcile IFRS 16 entries for main trading entity
* Liaising with operations and other finance departments to ensure information is received on a timely basis
* Review of the weekly Irish cash forecast and management of the EMEA weekly cash forecast
* Manage and produce monthly reconciliations for the main trading entity and Treasury
* Manage and produce quarterly reconciliations for non-trading entities
* Manage and reconcile the Fixed asset register within SAP to include internally developed Software
* Manage and reconcile Eurovat claims throughout Europe
* Managing Treasury postings and ensuring that everything reconciles daily
* Managing the Treasury Loans report for Europe
* Ensuring all intercompany balances reconcile for month end close
* CSO returns
* Preparation and posting of journal entries
Requirements:
* A minimum of 5 years' post qualified experience in a busy Financial accounting role
* Excellent communication skills and a track record in building relationships with internal and external personnel at all levels
* Past experience of working in a large practice is desirable
Desirable Skills:
* Experience of SAP & Oracle are desirable
