Certified Order Entry Technician - Dublin

Gayco Healthcare is looking for a certified order entry technician responsible for entering prescriptions and refills into the pharmacy system with both speed and accuracy in order for customers to receive medications and medical supplies in a timely manner. Certified order entry technicians work under the pharmacists' direct supervision. Inputs prescription orders for medicinal agents; oral, topical, parenteral, etc. in a timely and accurate manner. Communicates with nurses at facilities concerning certain clarifications or requests. Knowledge and experience with Framework and DocuTrack are a plus. Long-term care pharmacy experience is preferred. Must be computer literate with excellent keyboarding skills; good verbal and written communication skills; and strong math and analytical skills. Must be a licensed pharmacy technician with the State of Georgia and a certified pharmacy technician.

Customer Care Technician - Dublin

This position answers multi-line phone, takes care of the callers' needs routing calls appropriately. A customer service technician is a licensed pharmacy technician with the State of Georgia, who processes refill orders, researches orders, and sorts orders for distribution to other areas of the pharmacy. Knowledge and experience with FrameworkLTC is a plus. Long-term care pharmacy experience is preferred. Must be computer literate with excellent keyboarding skills; good verbal and written communication skills; ability to multi-task, and strong math and analytical skills. Summary – Operations and Duties

Responsible in providing day-to-day operational needs with the dispensing of prescription medication as required in meeting the needs and requirements of a long-term care pharmacy, follows the company\'s quality and customer service standards, policies and procedures, state and federal guidelines.

* Fills prescription orders for all medicinal agents; oral, topical, parenteral, etc.
* Determines prescription assignment for dosage, drug choice, administration, and possible reactions/interactions.
* Supervises technicians in prescription data entry, packing oral medications, label and card preparation, and assists when necessary.
* Supervise technicians in IV mixtures and compounding.
* Verifies accuracy of peer pharmacists\' finished work.
* Directs timely delivery of medications and supplies to the facilities.
* Answer pharmacy related questions and concerns and assist with problem solving using drug information systems.
* May assist with special projects as needed.
* Rotates work schedule: opening and closing.
* Compounds prescriptions as needed.
* Offer suggestions for cost effective/therapeutic alternatives to non-insurance covered items.
* Closely monitor patient\'s lab results in relation to medication orders that require dose adjustments for efficacy and safety.
* Offer in-services/training to facilities on proper PCA pump utilization.
* Accept/initiate interactions with physicians and staff to obtain verbal orders for controlled medications.
* May consult long-term care facilities according to state and federal regulations when necessary.
* Is customer focused; dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers; gets first-hand customer information and uses it for improvements in products and services; talks and acts with customers in mind; establishes and maintains effective relationships with customers and gains their trust and respect.
* Various other duties as assigned.


Summary – Pharmacy Support

Assists the pharmacist in preparation of medications for distribution to long-term care facilities based on the physician orders and prescriptions.

* Retrieves prescription orders
* Selects proper prescription container
* Creates prescription labels
* Assists pharmacists to prepare and dispense medication
* Receives and stores incoming supplies
* Counts stock and enters data in computer to maintain inventory records
* Prepares intravenous (IV) packs
* Various other duties as assigned
