Electrical, Control & Instrumentation Maintenance Engineer - Dublin

We are seeking an experienced Electrical, Control & Instrumentation (C&I) Maintenance Engineer to join a leading organisation within the energy sector. This role involves carrying out preventative and corrective maintenance to ensure the safe and efficient operation of electrical and control systems.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform planned and condition-based maintenance on electrical and control systems
* Carry out HV switching operations following safety rules and permit procedures
* Inspect and maintain MV/HV switchgear, transformers, MCCs, VSDs, motors, and related equipment
* Diagnose faults using schematics, diagrams, and electrical testing tools
* Calibrate and maintain field instruments, sensors, transmitters, and control valves
* Log all maintenance activities using the CMMS system
* Support safe isolation, equipment testing, and compliance with LOTO procedures
* Prepare and review Method Statements and Risk Assessments
* Identify opportunities for improving system reliability and performance
Requirements
* NFQ Level 6 or equivalent in Electrical, Instrumentation, or similar
* 5+ years in electrical and C&I maintenance within a power plant or heavy industry
* Strong knowledge of HV/MV/LV systems, transformers, switchgear, motors, and instrumentation
* Proficient in reading electrical schematics, P&IDs, loop diagrams, and control system drawings
* Skilled in the use of testing and calibration equipment
* Familiar with safe work practices including LOTO, Permit to Work, and PPE usage
* IT literacy and experience with CMMS systems
* Fluent English required; Portuguese desirable but not essential
* Authorisation to work in Ireland
