Job Opportunity:
We are currently seeking a highly skilled Paralegal Support Professional to join our team. As a Legal Secretary, you will play a vital role in supporting the legal executives and lawyers in our practice.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in a similar position, with expertise in using case management systems and excellent administrative and secretarial skills. Additionally, they will possess the ability to multitask, prioritize tasks effectively, and meet deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
* Producing high-quality legal documents such as court papers, contracts, and wills
* Accompanying solicitors to police cells or the courtroom
* Managing all incoming telephone calls and responding accordingly
* Handling petty cash transactions while maintaining accurate records of costs
* Scheduling appointments for your employer and arranging court depositions, hearings, and other meetings
* Filing documents accurately with the court ahead of deadlines
* Transcribing and proofreading legal documents with precision
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you must have:
* At least 1 year's experience as a paralegal or legal secretary
* Familiarity with legal documents and terminology
* A working knowledge of litigation management software systems
* The ability to type at a speed of at least 50 wpm with high accuracy
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
* Excellent prioritization and time management skills
