People like you.Visit our careers page to see what exciting opportunities and company perks await!Job DescriptionWork closely with internal Microchip teams such as Engineering Services, BU Design teams, and Operations, to ensure Microchip’s analog and mixed signal design flows and tools are robust and reliable.Work closely with stakeholders, EDA vendors, and consultants as needed to develop and deploy advanced methodologies to analog and mixed signal design flows to improve design quality and reduce design cycle time.Provide front line support for Microchip staff in the use of these tools and flows.Develop, test, and release scripts and tools as specified to aid in analog or mixed signal design and layoutSuch other comparable duties as may be required by Microchip managementRequirements/QualificationsMinimum 8.5+ years experience in an analog/MS design or CAD engineering roleExperience with EDA tools for analog IC design and simulation is requiredDesign verification tools such as Virtuoso ADE, Solido SDE or other design environmentsAnalog simulation tools such as spectre, hspice, and fast-spice simulators and their applicationsVirtuoso layout and post layout extraction simulation flowsKnowledge of PDK’s and their interaction with the simulation environment.Knowledge of digital and mixed signal simulation and verification tools and techniques is requiredregression management tools and flowsdebug tools and flowsKnowledge of programming in a scripting language (e.g. Cadence Skill, shell, Tcl, Perl, python) is required.Experience with digital implementation flow would be an asset.Experience with distributed and remote computing environments and their maintenance would be an asset (LSF, RTDA.
