JOB DETAILS
We are recruiting for a Junior Field Engineer to join a growing additive manufacturing company. This position would suit an engineer in the early stages of their career who is looking to develop within the rapidly growing world of 3D printing and advanced manufacturing. Working closely with an experienced Field Engineer, you will receive hands‑on training and mentoring whilst developing your technical knowledge across installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and customer support activities. This is an onsite‑based position and offers an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to industrial equipment, customer‑facing engineering activities and additive manufacturing technologies.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Support the installation, commissioning and maintenance of 3D printing systems
Assist with troubleshooting and technical fault diagnosis
Support customers with technical queries and system operation
Work closely with senior engineers to develop technical expertise
Carry out preventative maintenance and service activities
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE
Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics or a related discipline
Previous engineering experience gained through industry placement, graduate programme or an engineering role
Strong technical aptitude and willingness to learn
Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills
Ability to work effectively within a team environment
Full driving licence
HIGHLY DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE
Exposure to 3D printing or additive manufacturing technologies
Experience working with industrial machinery or automated equipment
Customer‑facing engineering experience
Mechanical, electrical or electromechanical troubleshooting experience
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline
