Job Title: Electrical QA Supervisor – Solar Farm ConstructionLocation: North County Dublin, IrelandContract Type: Fixed-Term 12monthsReports To: Quality Manager / Site ManagerRole PurposeThe Electrical QA Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the quality assurance of all electrical works on a large-scale solar farm project in Ireland. This includes ensuring that all installation and testing activities are completed safely, correctly, and in full compliance with Irish standards, project specifications, and the client's quality requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesQuality AssuranceImplement and maintain the Quality Plan and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) for the project.Monitor electrical installation works to ensure they are carried out in accordance with design drawings, specifications, and national standards (ET101, IS Support the Quality Manager in developing checklists and inspection documentation for all electrical activities.Inspection & TestingCarry out and witness inspections of electrical installations including cabling, connections, earthing, and switchgear.Supervise testing of electrical systems before energisation.Verify that all test equipment is calibrated and that results are accurately recorded and traceable.Defect & Compliance ManagementIdentify and record any non-conformances and ensure corrective actions are implemented promptly.Maintain a live log of outstanding issues and assist in resolving punch-list items before handover.Ensure all electrical work complies with the National Rules for Electrical Installations and ESB connection requirements.Team & Contractor CoordinationWork closely with the Electrical Construction Supervisor and subcontractors to ensure consistent standards of workmanship.Provide guidance to site teams on quality procedures, correct installation methods, and documentation standards.Liaise with the commissioning and client representatives to support inspection and handover processes.Documentation & ReportingEnsure inspection records, test certificates, and QA packs are complete and properly filed for turnover.Prepare weekly QA progress reports, highlighting inspection status, key issues, and actions required.Support the final quality dossier compilation for submission to the client and ESB Networks.Health & SafetyPromote a strong safety culture and ensure all QA activities are performed safely and in line with project HSE procedures.Ensure electrical testing and inspection activities follow permit-to-work and lock-out/tag-out procedures.Qualifications & ExperienceQualified Electrician or Degree/Diploma in Electrical Engineering.Minimum 5 years' experience in electrical QA or supervision on large-scale renewable energy or power projects.Strong understanding of electrical installation standardsExperience managing subcontractors, QA documentation, and turnover packs.Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with QA software, Sharepoint, PDF writer software advantageous.Key Skills & AttributesExcellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to engage with site teams and clients.Well-organised, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction environment.Proactive and practical approach to problem-solving.Team-focused, professional, and safety-conscious attitude.Working ConditionsSite-based role on a solar farm project, primarily outdoors.Job Type: Fixed termContract length: 12 monthsWork Location: In person
