TUTOR IN CREATIVE WRITING - LIMERICK
Martin Keaveney Creative Writing work with hundreds of creative writers and literature enthusiasts annually.
MKCW are now seeking to add to our panel of teaching staff due to new In-Person/ Online requirements.
The successful applicant will present course(s) in Creative Writing (composed of one or more of: Fiction/Screenwriting/Playwriting/Poetry/Nonfiction /Others depending on the profile of the lecturer). There is a strong chance of further work for excellent lecturers.
Courses may be delivered in person or online.
Requirements of the Post:
* Teach pre-existing courses in cooperation with course designer.
* Facilitate creative writing workshop
* Provide editorial comments on writers' submissions
* Promote your course
* Other related duties
* Willing to travel (Mileage paid beyond 15 miles of home address)
* Willing to present courses on Zoom / Online formats
Essential Candidate requirements
* M.A. in Creative Writing or similar / Significant Publishing/Production credits
* Publication / produced credits in magazine or book / TV/ film
* Impeccable Presentation skills In-Person and Online
* Impeccable writing and reading skills
* Experience in teaching and moderating creative writing workshops at Higher Education level
* Commitment to Excellence in Teaching
* Passionate about subject area
* Degree of evening availability
* Willing to work with all ages from 7-87
* Willing to adapt to school approach
* Own transport/ Access to regular public transport (Travel covered over 15 miles from address)
* Garda vetting will be carried out by MKCW for tutors working with U-18s
Desirable
* PhD in Creative Writing or related field (Or near completion)
* Publications: Novels, Short Story Collections, Poetry Collections, Film/Television Production Credits, Nonfiction publications
* Public Profile

The position will be dependent on school requirements in any session and subject to a low minimum number to run.
Remuneration: €19.50 per hour. strong potential for advancement & additional opportunities depending on skill set.
