Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled accounting professional to lead our financial operations in County Cork. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant with 5+ years' experience to work on preparing and reviewing management accounts, evaluating internal controls, and providing full financial control services to retail sector clients.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare and review management accounts, focusing on gross margin variances and implementing action plans for cost reduction and efficiency improvements.
* Evaluate and implement internal controls to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.
* Oversee working capital management, ensuring optimal cash flow and financial planning.
* Provide full financial control services to a portfolio of retail sector clients, including supermarkets and convenience stores.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Qualified accountant (CPA, ACCA, CIMA, ACA) with 5+ years' post-qualification experience.
* Strong financial analysis, problem-solving, and client communication skills.
* Proficiency in accounts preparation, financial reporting, and IT systems.
* Ability to train, manage, and develop staff effectively.
* Retail sector experience preferred but not essential.
Benefits:
Salary is in the region of €60,000 – €65,000 with an additional package offered to successful candidates.
