We are now looking for an architectural technician to join our team in Ballina on Ireland's West Coast.
The successful candidate will work closely with the team on a range of exciting, design-led residential and public projects, and will be involved across all project stages, from concept to site. The successful candidate will be supported with training in sustainable practices in a position that offers a clear pathway for professional progression.
The ideal candidate will have:
1. five to ten years' professional experience, including significant onsite experience
2. proficiency in preparing detailed construction and tender drawings
3. excellent working knowledge of Irish Building Regulations and BCAR
4. interest in building sustainability and circularity
5. a keen eye for detail and commitment to high-quality, buildable solutions
6. the ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
7. the right to work in Ireland at the time of application
Optional but beneficial qualities include:
8. PSDP (Project Supervisor Design Process) experience
9. experience with conservation and working on protected structures
10. experience in developing and submitting planning applications
11. experience in LCA
You will contribute to:
12. developing detailed technical drawings and specifications
13. supporting design development and construction documentation
14. coordinating with consultants, contractors, and fabricators
15. engaging with regulatory compliance and planning requirements
16. managing later stage projects
17. helping realise inspiring and sustainable designs on the ground
