Lead Data Engineer
12 Month Daily Rate Contract
Dublin - Remote
We have partnered with a client in Dublin that is looking to bring in a Senior Data Engineer that has excellent experience in building scalable, reliable data pipelines.
Responsibilities:
* Design, build and operate scalable, reliable data pipelines and data warehouses supporting analytics and reporting.
* Be accountable for pipeline performance, data freshness, and operational readiness.
* Collaborate with data architects, analysts and product owners to convert business needs into data products.
* Establish and enforce data engineering standards, data quality processes and monitoring.
* Mentor engineers and lead continuous improvement across the data platform.
* Maintain Data Quality standards and staying up to date with the latest data governance tools and technologies
Skills Required:
* 8+ years experience in a Data Engineering role with 3 years in a Senior/ Lead capacity
* Strong Python programming skills and experience with PySpark & complex SQL queries
* Must have experience in the Databricks platform
* Experience working on cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure
* Strong experience in ETL
* Sound knowledge of BI tools such as Tableau or Power BI
* Track record of delivering complex data pipeline solutions at an enterprise scale
* Experience working in an Agile environment
