An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled and creative Graphic Designer to join a collaborative and supportive team within a well-established educational publisher in Ireland. Based in Dublin 12, this is a full-time role offering hybrid working alongside the chance to contribute to impactful, high-quality design projects. This position is ideal for someone with a strong eye for detail who thrives on producing visually engaging layouts and designs, particularly for large-scale print publications such as books and educational resources.
You'll work closely with production and editorial teams to deliver materials across a range of formats, including book interiors, covers, promotional content, and more. A strong understanding of layout, typesetting, and visual storytelling is key, along with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
Key responsibilities include:
·Designing, layout and typesetting large book files to exacting standards
·Designing book covers, publicity, posters and other media as required
·Managing multiple projects and timelines, ensuring consistent file organisation and version control
·Collaborating with colleagues and responding to feedback effectively
·Keeping up to date with design trends and educational best practices
The ideal candidate will have:
·Demonstrated experience in a similar design role including layout of books
·A strong portfolio demonstrating both print and digital design work
·Proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop
·Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
·Strong organisational abilities and a commitment to quality
