We are seeking a proactive and experiencedProject Engineerto join our Minor Contracting team at EPS Group in Mallow.The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, executing, and delivering infrastructure projects for Municipal, Dairy, Food & Beverage and Pharmaceutical industries. Ensuring compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, environmental and client expectations.Key Responsibilities:Project Planning & ExecutionDevelop and manage detailed project plans, schedules, and budgetsCoordinate all phases of projects including design, procurement, construction, and commissioningEnsure projects meet technical specifications, environmental standards and client requirementsRegulatory Compliance & SafetyPromote and enforce health, safety, quality and environmental (HSQE) policies on sitePrepare and submit necessary permits and documentationStakeholder CoordinationLiaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and regulatory bodies, representing EPS interestsCommunicate project progress, risks and issues effectively to all stakeholdersManage client expectations and ensure satisfaction throughout the project lifecycleResource & Team ManagementAllocate and manage internal and external resources efficientlySupervise site teams and ensure proper training and performanceResolve conflicts and maintain team morale and productivityRisk & Issue ManagementIdentify potential risks and develop mitigation strategiesMonitor project performance and address issues proactivelyQuality Assurance & ControlImplement quality control procedures and conduct regular inspectionsEnsure all works are completed to industry standards and client specificationsManage documentation and reporting for audits and reviewsFinancial OversightMonitor project costs and control expendituresApprove invoices, manage variations, and ensure cost recoveryReport on financial performance and forecast future needsProcurementManage procurement activities for your assigned projects, including supplier selection and contract negotiationManage purchase orders, subcontractor agreements and material sourcingEnsure timely delivery of equipment and services to meet project milestonesMonitor supplier performance and resolve procurement-related issuesSustainability & InnovationPromote sustainable practices in wastewater treatment and infrastructureExplore innovative solutions to improve efficiency and reduce environmental impactKey Competencies and Skills:Proficiency in PC skillsExcellent inter-personal skills and communication skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong collaborative skills with an ability to work effectively in a team environmentHave a willingness to learn and be challenged in the water and wastewater IndustryExperience in implementing opportunities and initiatives in a time restricted scheduleDevelop specific goals and plans to prioritise, organise and accomplish stated deadlinesQualifications & Experience:Third level Mechanical/ Electrical qualificationSimilar relevant third level qualification and experience will be consideredFull Irish driving licenceCompensation Package:Competitive salary and benefits packageRobust graduate programmeOpportunities for professional development and career growthCPD accredited employerA collaborative and supportive work environmentLaptop or desktop and work mobile phone providedFlexible working options, dependent on location and role requirementsSee company website for more information on the benefits of working in EPS GroupWe welcome speculative applications from individuals of all levels.If you are interested in working with us but are not sure if the role above is for you, please feel free to get in touch for an informal discussion about what we do and what you could bring to the team.
