An exciting opportunity has arisen for an EHS and Sustainability Manager to join a leading food company based in the North Cork region. This key role is responsible for driving best-practice strategies, ensuring strong governance, and leading the implementation of the company’s Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) and Sustainability programs.
THE ROLE:
1. Develop, implement and monitor the Health and Safety strategy across the business
2. Prepare and enforce policies to establish a culture that actively promotes health and safety
3. Evaluate practices, procedures and facilities to assess risk and drive ongoing improvement in Environmental and Sustainability
4. Develop, implement and monitor the company’s Environmental Strategy
5. Measure and report the company’s sustainability performance, including Water, Gas and Electricity usage
REQUIREMENTS:
1. Degree in Environmental Science, Health and Safety, Science, Engineering, or similar
2. Experience with IPPC licensing requirements is essential
3. Manufacturing experience in the food industry strongly preferred
4. At least 2 years' people management experience
5. Focus will be more on the Environmental side, experience dealing with the EPA, in a factory with its own Waste Water Treatment plant would be advantageous
