We are seeking a highly-experienced and driven Deputy MLRO & FIU Investigator to join our dynamic teams. This is a key role for a professional with deep expertise in transaction monitoring, blockchain investigations, and financial crime compliance. This is a remote role but you must be based in the UK or Ireland to be considered.

Responsibilities
While the scope of each project may vary, your core responsibilities will include:
* Leading complex investigations into potential financial crimes, including money laundering, fraud, and sanctions breaches.
* Monitoring high-volume and high-risk transactions across fiat and crypto channels to detect red flags and suspicious behavior.
* Analyzing blockchain transactions and wallet activity using advanced analytics tools and blockchain explorers.
* Drafting and submitting Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) in accordance with UK and global regulatory standards.
* Performing Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) on high-risk clients, with a focus on transactional behavior and source of funds.
* Identifying and assessing financial crime risks across client portfolios, with a strong emphasis on transaction patterns.
* Collaborating with law enforcement, regulators, and financial institutions to support AML/CFT efforts.
* Maintaining detailed investigation records and producing clear, actionable reports.
* Staying current with evolving financial crime typologies, especially in the crypto and DeFi space.
Qualifications
* 8+ yearsof experience in financial crime investigation or AML compliance, either in-house or via consulting.
* 2+ yearsof hands-on experience in blockchain/crypto transaction monitoring and investigations.
* Proven experience in a team leadership or management role within financial crime.
* Familiarity with blockchain analytics tools such asChainalysis, Elliptic, or CipherTrace.
* Strong understanding of global crypto regulatory frameworks and compliance obligations.
* Proven ability to develop and execute crypto-specific risk mitigation strategies.
* Excellent writing skills for SARs, investigative reports, and regulatory communications.
* Strong decision-making skills in high-pressure environments.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
