Your new company
Your new building contractor is one of Ireland's largest and most respected for their build quality and values, which include teamwork, excellence, and respect. They pride themselves on their quality, safety, and environmental processes.
We have worked closely with them for over 15 years, and they operate in sectors such as Life Science, Data Centres, Renewables, Infrastructure, and General Building, including internal fitout work.
They are a well-respected and great organization to be part of.
Your new role
This position is located in the south of the city near the canal. It involves managing a commercial office space with several months remaining until handover. The building is watertight, with internal work and external facade management still to be completed.
They require a strong, competent site manager to start with them, paid on an hourly rate (common for them), with potential to progress to other projects. They typically work 45-50 hours per week, and you will be paid for each hour on site.
You will work closely with other management on site, responsible for safety, quality, and program management.
This is one of several management roles currently within the organization.
What you'll need to succeed
You must be a competent site manager capable of working independently, with experience managing large-scale projects, whether commercial or residential.
You should have a knack for managing subcontractors and be proficient with IT systems.
A trade or educational background is beneficial, but reliability, competence, and hard work are the main qualities sought.
What you'll get in return
You will be well paid for this role.
The hourly rates are paid as PAYE or self-employed. PAYE includes holidays and bank holidays, with a typical rate up to €40.00 per hour (around €100k annually on standard hours). The self-employed rate could be as high as €50.00 per hour, totaling approximately €115,000+ on 50-hour weeks. This can be a short-term role or a long-term opportunity, with the contractor currently having work for the next 5+ years.
Whether for financial reasons, career progression, or the size of the contractor, this organization offers excellent opportunities for the right manager to advance to more senior roles.
