Job Title: Purchasing & Warehouse Assistant

Weatherbys Scientific operates a high paced, high throughput laboratory which needs to maintain a large amount of stock in a well organised warehouse. The Purchasing and Warehouse Assistant will ensure that stock levels are maintained within established boundaries and keep the warehouse inventories orderly and well organised.
This is a 12-month fixed term contract based in our laboratory in Naas, Ireland. Working 35 hours per week, Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm, with 1-hour unpaid lunch break.
Key Responsibilities:
· Negotiating contracts with suppliers
· Maintaining records of supplier contracts
· Presenting cost analyses
· Updating the department about delays or problems with suppliers
· Maintaining strong relationships with vendors
· Researching new products or suppliers
· Tracking of stock levels
· Receiving and storing goods
· Working in a safe manner
Skill Requirements:
· Excellent communication skills are required for liaising both with clients and internal stakeholders.
· Attention to detail ensuring accuracy in correct levels of stock to be maintained.
· Excellent Excel skills, and other MS tools
· Organisation skills are critical, prioritising tasks in a fast-paced lab environment.
· Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
· Prior use of ERP and finance (specifically Business Central) systems is preferable but not essential.
