Financial Controller role based in Waterford City. This newly created role in a fast growing SME, reports to the Finance Director & the Managing Director. As part of the Senior Management Team, the overall purpose of this role will be to manage the financial activities of the company, ensure all statutory compliance requirements are met and the ongoing review of current processes in operation and recommendations for improvement to the processes. The company has incurred large growth and the role will suit somebody who is commercially focused with a strong finance background. Responsibilities of the role will include Responsible for overseeing and ensuring the financial compliance and controls of the company are in place correctly Full responsibility for the production of the monthly reporting pack Production of the annual financial accounts Liaising with the external auditors on requirements and responding to queries Preparation of budgets and forecasts Ensuring revenue compliance in all areas Responding to and dealing with queries from the finance team and other company employees Ongoing review of existing company processes and recommending/implementing improvements Assisting in company projects including capital projects Ongoing continuous improvement of the financial systems and the finance function Other ad hoc tasks as they arise Role will suit Qualified Financial Accountant A min of 5 years PQE experience in busy company. Strong commercial acumen with good ability to interpret data Excellent communication skills. Fluency in both written and spoken English essential. Proven problem-solving abilities and a strong attention to detail a must for this role.
