Job Summary:
This role involves overseeing complex building system operations and performance in various areas including plumbing, electrical systems, painting, roofing, heating, cooling, mechanical power transmissions, process controls, carpentry, or engine repair. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining equipment and systems to ensure they meet applicable standards.
About the Role
* Assign work orders and estimate time and materials needed for repairs;
* Maintain an inventory of adequate supplies and tools;
* Perform maintenance and repairs on advanced systems;
* Oversee and inspect outside contractor work;
* Respond to inquiries and complaints from clients, coworkers, and supervisors;
Key Responsibilities
* DIRECT THE IMPLEMENTATION OF A PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE PROGRAM TO ENSURE BUILDING MACHINERY AND SYSTEMS MEET OR EXCEED THEIR RATED LIFE.
* PERFORM REPAIRS AND EMERGENCY MAINTENANCE AS NEEDED.
* REVIEW AND SIGN OFF ON INSPECTIONS OF BUILDING SYSTEMS INCLUDING FIRE ALARMS, HVAC, AND PLUMBING TO ENSURE EQUIPMENT OPERATION IS WITHIN DESIGN CAPABILITIES AND ACHIEVES ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS PRESCRIBED BY THE CLIENT.
* APPLY ADVANCED KNOWLEDGE TO SEEK AND DEVELOP NEW, BETTER METHODS FOR ACCOMPLISHING BOTH INDIVIDUAL AND DEPARTMENT OBJECTIVES.
Requirements
* Mechanical trade qualification with 2+ years of job-related experience;
* Additonal certification in one or more of the following: HVAC, electrical, mechanical, HVAC and refrigeration systems, process controls, mechanical power transmissions, painting, plumbing, carpentry or engine repair;
* Meet physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
