About the Role: Morgan McKinley are delighted to be working in exclusive partnership with a leading pharmaceutical company currently undergoing a multi-million-euro expansion project. We are seeking an experienced Project Manager / Quantity Surveyor to join their dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the financial and contractual management of major capital projects within a fast-paced and innovative environment. Roles and Responsibilities: Report to various stakeholders including the Project Manager and Senior Leadership Team. Collaborate with internal teams and engineering partners to develop project cost estimates, cash flows, and financial plans aligned with the project schedule. Review and challenge capital cost estimates provided by engineering partners to ensure accuracy and value for money. Provide expert advice on building economics and cost management to support project teams. Oversee the full lifecycle of project cost management, from initial estimation through to project close-out. Ensure that all tender outcomes (scope, exclusions, assumptions, etc.) are clearly and accurately defined within contract documentation. Review and validate contract variations and vendor claims to ensure compliance with deliverables and protect company interests. Participate in final account meetings and ensure accurate financial closure of projects. Prepare and maintain budget risk assessments for ongoing and planned projects. Support tendering procedures and contract arrangements with a focus on cost effectiveness and compliance. Regularly review and challenge CAPEX and OPEX costs against approved budgets. Monitor project performance versus budget/forecast, providing detailed financial analysis and variance reporting. Develop detailed cost forecasts and estimates for gate reviews and financial approvals. Education and Experience: Degree-qualified Quantity Surveyor (QS Degree essential). Minimum 3+ years experience in cost control, ideally within CAPEX or investment projects. Strong SAP and Microsoft Excel proficiency. Excellent analytical, planning, and organizational skills. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and build strong working relationships with stakeholders. Highly motivated self-starter with strong attention to detail and critical thinking abilities. Resilient and results-driven, with the ability to perform under pressure and deliver on commitments. Excellent command of written and spoken English. Work Arrangement: Ideally on-site 5 days per week, though some hybrid working may be considered depending on project needs.
