The Role / Location
We are currently recruiting for a Surveyor/Senior Surveyor to work in our Dublin office within our Industrial and Logistics Team.
This role has the key objectives of providing strategic advice to clients, together with a full agency role with regard to the acquisition, letting and sale of Industrial and Logistics property.
The Savills Industrial & Logistics Agency Team has an excellent long-standing track record in the area of business park development, disposals and acquisitions with an extensive client list and retains prime instructions throughout the greater Dublin area.
You will be working with the Director and Divisional Director of the Industrial and Logistics team and the wider Savills Leadership Team.
Key Responsibilities
Whilst the ongoing tasks associated with the role are specified below, you are expected to operate as a senior member of the Industrial and Logistics team and promote new business within all four of the above channels.
Your operational focus will be on your own day to day workstreams in these channels, but you are expected to assist in the ongoing improvement in standards of operation of the team and its members.
Be able to fulfill a full agency role regarding the sales, lettings and acquisition of Industrial and Logistics assets.
Respond quickly to client requirements in this changing market and be able to adapt when necessary.
Monitor the activity within the Irish Industrial and logistics market on a continuous basis.
Provide high quality reporting to key developers, landlords and occupiers.
Liaise with all other departments within Savills to monitor market activity and create cross selling opportunities for the wider business.
Assist broader department pitches and business development presentations and lead pitches for new business opportunities.
Assist with the development and maintenance of the Savills Industrial & Logistics research database in conjunction with our research department.
Ensure timely production of research and commentary, at least quarterly and ensure market data is available to the research department in their prescribed formats when required.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
Excellent verbal, communication and negotiation skills.
Having attained your assessment of professional competence (APC), you are a fully qualified Chartered Surveyor.
Ability to build relationships with clients and understand their requirements.
Ability to professionally assist in large projects from initial strategy report through to end sales.
Technically competent and numerate with a thorough knowledge and appreciation of key issues influencing the Industrial and Logistics market.
A strong understanding of MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
A team player with the ability to work autonomously when necessary.
Ability to work to tight deadlines.
Highly pro-active and ambitious with a desire to provide the best commercial agency advice and service in the Irish market.
Full clean driving licence.
