Medical Device Design Role
This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a team that designs and develops innovative medical devices for ENT procedures. As an R&D Co-Op Student, you will perform a variety of technical tasks in the planning and design of next generation medical devices.
These cutting-edge devices help surgeons to plan and perform extensive and life-changing procedures. This role will support the R&D New Product Development Teams as they bring new medical devices to market.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in the design, development, and verification of electrical components for medical devices
* Contribute to designing prototypes and evaluating their performance through systematic testing
* Perform hands-on bench testing to verify electrical subsystems and assess device performance
* Design analysis including system stack-up and component tolerances through calculations, simulations, and testing
* PCBA design including schematic and layout of rigid and flex PCBs
* Generation of electrical prints and required files for manufacturing
Requirements:
* Studying or completed a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electrical, Electronic Engineering, or related discipline
* Fundamental Knowledge: Good understanding of fundamental electrical engineering principles, including passive components, analog circuits, digital circuit design, and electromagnetics
* Design Tools: Exposure to eCAD tools, circuit simulation tools, and basic knowledge of PCB design and construction
