The position is based in AnaBio's state of the art Micro Encapsulation Centre of Excellence in Carrigtohill Co Cork.

Role, Key Responsibilities Accountabilities and Duties
The purpose of the R&D Scientist role at AnaBio Technologies is to lead and manage complex research and development projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and meet the technical and quality standards required.
This position is crucial for driving innovation, maintaining scientific excellence, and supporting the company's growth and success in the food and pharmaceutical industries.
Key aspects of the role include
Provide technical input to AnaBio's own micro encapsulation technology development program in addition to delivering on client specific R&D projects.
Provide analytical expertise and leadership to advance AnaBio's analytical technologies and methods.
Support specific client projects and verify the technical deliverables according to the agreed project plan.
Key Responsibilities of the R&D Scientist:
In collaboration with the R&D Science Director, manage interactions with specific customers and provide regular updates
Test raw materials, in-process samples, and final products appropriately using exiting analytical methods to support research and development projects.
Develop robust scientifically advanced methods for encapsulated products with the required performance attributes to satisfy stakeholder needs.
Interpretation of data and problem solving
Plan, conduct or coordinate product application analyses and tests internally or with support from client
Communication of results to external client and external labs
As required, provide training or mentorship to other research and development and QC team members.
As required, transfer methods to clients or, third party laboratories
Support the writing of client reports Manage laboratory stock to ensure availability of necessary materials.
It is likely that additional duties and responsibilities will emerge and develop over time in line with the natural development of the growing company.

Expertise, Education & Experience :
Deep technical expertise in analytical chemistry techniques, in particular in separation sciences, and spectrometry techniques.
Proficiency in the use of multiple instrument platforms (e.g. HPLC, Electrophoresis, Spectrophotometry)
BSc/MSc Sciences (Chemistry or Biochemistry)
At least 2 years industrial analytical chemistry experience, in particular experience of method development and validation or,
PhD/Post Doctorate Level in Analytical Science (Chemistry or Biochemistry) with relevant experience in analytical method development
Experience with micro-encapsulation science is an advantage
Person Specification
Strong technical problem-solving ability both independently and as part of a team.
Demonstrated ability to think critically and innovatively combined with willingness to challenge.
Excellent technical writing skills and oral communication with the ability to work with cross functional teams with collaborative communication skills to engage with employees and clients at all levels.
Knowledge and experience within a pharmaceutical manufacturing and chemical development environment and an understanding of the drug development process is desirable.
Demonstrated core laboratory skills and expertise in various wet chemistry and analytical techniques such as spectroscopy and chromatography techniques, with an excellent understanding of the relevance of the data generated.
Strong hands-on capabilities (ability to work independently to solve current problems/issues); and experience of working in a regulated environment.
Contribute to continuous improvement of processes
Need to be flexible, confident, energetic and enthusiastic
The ability to plan effectively, meet deadlines and work productively
Perform duties diligently and faithfully in a proper and lawful manner
