Research Fellow Position in Economics
The University of Galway invites applications for a full-time 48 month fixed-term contract position as a Research Fellow in Economics. The position is funded by the RECODE project and the CIVIC project, both of which focus on sustainable energy and climate adaptation.
This role will involve working with Dr Thomas van Rensburg's research group to examine the social and economic impact of renewable energy technologies on communities and citizens. You will investigate ways in which these technologies can be used to produce low-carbon energy, accelerate growth, reduce emissions, and adapt to climate change.
* Advanced knowledge of economics principles
* Experience with data analysis and statistical software (e.g., R or Python)
* Familiarity with social sciences methodologies (qualitative/quantitative)
The successful candidate will enjoy a competitive salary scale €65,889 - €86,014 per annum (pro-rata) plus opportunities for professional development within our institution.
