We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician to join the team in Blakes Allcare, Celbridge.

Purpose of Role
To assist the Managing Pharmacist in a busy dispensary environment, adhering to operational procedures, maintaining high ethical standards, and delivering excellent customer service.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Accurately receive, record, and assemble prescriptions; inform Pharmacists of any drug therapy changes or interactions.
2. Serve customers over the counter with medicines and other pharmacy products.
3. Fulfill OTC medicine requests using WWHAM questioning; recommend suitable medicines and refer to Pharmacist as needed.
4. Maintain dispensary computer records and ensure paperwork complies with company procedures.
5. Promptly report errors or safety issues to the Managing Pharmacist or Business Territory Manager.
6. Manage stock control, including rotation, stock levels, supplier accuracy, and delivery details.
7. Keep the pharmacy clean and tidy, addressing health and safety issues promptly.
8. Follow standard operating procedures to ensure professional standards are maintained.
9. Assist with OTC sales and front-of-counter duties.
10. Perform any other duties as required.

Qualifications, Experience & Skills
* IPU Pharmacy Technician course or Higher Certificate in Pharmacy Technician Studies.
* Preferably 2 years pharmacy technician experience.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Strong attention to detail.
* Organizational skills with the ability to multitask.
* Cashier experience is an advantage.
* Discretion and confidentiality when handling customer/patient information.
* IT skills are advantageous.
