The Health Care Assistant plays a vital role in daily activities and routines, providing direct support to individuals with intellectual and physical disabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist with care as assigned by the Manager and indicated in the Integrated Care Plan
* Encourage recognition of individuals, prioritizing their needs and comforts
* Act as an advocate for individuals and families, ensuring provision of appropriate information and support
* Develop social interaction for individuals and groups
* Maintain confidentiality at all times
Requirements:
* Relevant QQI Level 5 Healthcare qualification or equivalent
* Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar environment supporting adults or children with disabilities
* Knowledge of adults/children with complex needs
* Full manual driver's license with eligibility to drive in Ireland
* Eligible to live and work in Ireland
