Candidates will contribute to enriching the lives of our Service Users.As a Social Support Worker, you are required to provide support and care to people who avail of our service. You as an employee will be supported in developing yourself professionally to provide a high quality support and to maintain professional working relationships with our team members and individuals using our service.It is our aim to support people in reaching their full potential while having a meaningful life through the supports of the services we provide to them.As a part of Hopeful Hearts, you will have the opportunity to work in a variety of settings, including supervising family access and transporting children in care while being part of an organization that truly values compassion, empathy, and a commitment to quality care.Key Responsibilities:Assist in the co-ordination and supervising of family access between children and their parents.Transport young people or family members to and from access/ schoolEncourage appropriate interactions between children and their parentsProvide art activities or supporting play where requiredModel behaviours and/or provide parenting support when requiredCommunicate with parents and foster carers and offer feedbackRedirect inappropriate conversations or if necessary, cease access if in the best interest of the childHelp service users engage with and participate in their local communities.Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver cohesive and comprehensive care.Maintain accurate and confidential records of care provided and progress made.Ensure a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment for all individuals.Approach challenging behaviours with empathy, professionalism, and effective interventions.Advocate for the rights, preferences, and needs of service users, ensuring their voices are heard and respected.No qualification is required for this position as all necessary training will be provided.However, relevant life experience would be desirable but not essential.We require good attitude to work and clean Full Driver's Licence.Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.Willingness to work various shifts, including nights and weekends.Hopeful Hearts is an equal opportunity employer.
