Overview
Dovida Ireland is currently seeking compassionate Hosted Caregivers for our Hosted Care Service where a Caregiver resides in the Clients home. Our dedicated Hosted Caregivers provide a range of non-medical services, enabling clients to continue living in the comfort of their own homes. These services enhance their quality of life, and our Caregivers approach their work with dignity, pride, care, and compassion.
Responsibilities
These services fall under three categories. Responsibilities may vary based on individual client needs. The Company reserves the right to modify this description as needed, with or without notice to employees. Full client requirements will be listed in the Care Plan.
* Personal Care: Aiding with essential daily activities, including: Bathing assistance; Dressing and grooming support; Hygiene, toileting, and incontinence care.
* Home Help: Tasks to maintain a comfortable living environment, including: Light housekeeping; Laundry care; Errands and local assistance; Pet care; Outdoor activities; Update daily activity logs and care plan communications with Home Instead Care Managers.
* Companionship Services: Enhancing emotional well-being and social interaction, including: Companionship and conversation; Mobility assistance; Medication and appointment reminders; Meal preparation and cleanup.
Job Details and Terms
A Hosted Caregiver moves in with the primary client (the client the Hosted Caregiver lives with). The Hosted Caregiver provides a minimum of 7 hours of service to the primary client per week and can work with other clients within the primary client’s vicinity. The Hosted Caregiver can provide up to 48 hours of care over 6 days per week in line with the Working Time Act 1997. Hosted Caregiver accommodation and utilities are covered. The Hosted Caregiver is likely to walk or use public transport to deliver care to other clients besides the primary client. A minimum term of no less than 3 months (12 weeks) and a signed Client House Rules agreement are required to reside in the Hosted Client’s Home.

* Fit to Work: Physically capable of meeting the role’s demands, including manual tasks.
* Flexible Availability: Able to work during various care visit times, including overnights and across multiple clients within a neighbourhood.
* Punctuality: Excellent timekeeping and attendance.
* Safety Focus: Maintain a safe environment for clients.
Skills and Qualifications
* Qualification: Hold a QQI qualification or equivalent in Care or be actively working towards it. If not currently held, complete relevant modules after recruitment.
* Training: Complete mandatory online training through HSELand and the Dovida Academy; attend mandatory in-person training on Patient Moving and Manual Handling with Dovida trainers.
* Driving License: Possess a full EU driving license (may be required).
* Experience: At least 6 months of previous experience as a Caregiver.
* Background Check: Be able to pass Garda Vetting and International Police Clearance for each country lived in for more than 6 months since the age of 16.
* Language Proficiency: Effective English communication (speaking, reading, writing).
* EU Passport/National ID or relevant Visa for travel.
* Proficient IT skills: Ability to use IT for training, background checks, QQI modules, and timesheets; own laptop or tablet required.
