Now operating over 35 top retail fresh food stores nationwide and with more to follow, our client is looking to strengthen their teams in a number of key areas of management. At present they are seeking a Chef for one of their busy sites in Roscommon, assessable for anyone living in Mayo, Sligo and Leitrim.
This is a modern retail convenience shop, with multiple services, like a fast-paced convenience shop, off licence, but is particularly known for their unique fresh food offering and fresh food concessions.

Requirements for this Chef Job:
* Some chef background, cooking experience in a fast paced catering, hospitality, café, retail, or some type of fresh food environment or similar deli operation is essential
* Good working Knowledge of food safety
* Must have a senior lead role in the kitchen or in food preparation
* Haccp trained to a high level
* A background in fresh food ordering from suppliers, inventory management
* Proven experience in staff supervision, checking quality of work and delegating tasks.
Responsibilities for this Chef Job:
* Strong presentation skills, ensuring that food is presented to a high standard.
* Minimise waste and identify cost saving measures while maintaining standards.
* Preparation of Breakfast, Lunch, Evening Meals, and Chilled Products.
* Serve food when required, always providing exceptional customer service.
* Prepare and place stock orders and check the quantity and quality of goods received.
* Completion of stock takes on a regular basis.
* Assist in ensuring cleanliness within the deli, including completing wash up duties.
* Train and assist the Deli team in areas such as safe working practices, food preparation, cooking techniques, garnishing and presentation skills.
* Carry out any other duties associated with the role and as assigned by management.
* Have excellent knowledge of HACCP, ensuring standards are adhered to by deli staff.
