The Opportunity
We are seeking a skilled Electrical Authorised Person (AP) to take control of High Voltage (HV) and Low Voltage (LV) systems across our projects. You will ensure safe operation, maintenance, isolation, and energisation of electrical infrastructure in line with statutory requirements and company safety procedures.
This is a key role for someone who is passionate about electrical safety and system reliability.
Here are some of the key duties of this role
* Act as an Authorised Person for HV/LV systems
* Issue and coordinate Permits to Work
* Carry out safe isolation and switching operations
* Support planning, management, and execution of HV & LV maintenance
* Ensure compliance with legislation, procedures, and technical standards
* Manage contractors and supervise electrical works on‑site
* Conduct electrical safety audits, fault investigations, and reports
* Maintain system documentation, drawings, and switching schedules
* Participate in emergency response and fault rectification
Key Qualifications Required
* Recognised electrical engineering qualification (Degree or equivalent)
* Formal Authorised Person HV/LV training (e.g., JSP 375 / HTM / EUSR or equivalent)
* Strong working knowledge of:
o HV & LV power distribution systems
o Safe systems of work & electrical safety legislation
o Switching schedules, isolations & energisation procedures
* Proven experience in electrical operations within critical or complex estates
* Excellent communication & decision‑making skills
* Ability to work under pressure and lead on safety‑critical tasks
