In August 2024, Storm announced that it had been acquired by Littlefish, an award-winning managed IT and cyber security services provider based in Nottingham, UK. We believe that this acquisition further strengthens Storm's service portfolio for both new and existing clients in Ireland, particularly within the managed IT services and cyber security space, and facilitates future growth, enabling the delivery of its Microsoft business solutions to the UK market. In turn, this will see both companies extend their capabilities across larger scale projects and to a wider breadth of clients. Together, Storm Technology and Littlefish will continue to deliver industry leading services to existing customers across the areas of managed IT services, cloud services, and strategic consultancy. Role Purpose:

The Senior Sales Account Manager – Public Sector is responsible for leading strategic growth and deepening long‑term partnerships across Government, Health, Education, Local Authorities, and Semi‑State bodies. This senior role requires a consultative seller with expertise across the full Microsoft 365 ecosystem — including productivity and collaboration tools, security and compliance technologies, modern workplace solutions, endpoint management, analytics, and emerging Data & AI capabilities. Acting as a trusted advisor to senior public‑sector stakeholders, you will shape digital transformation agendas, position Microsoft solutions that drive citizen‑centric outcomes, and ensure exceptional client experience through seamless collaboration with Storm's consulting, technical, and delivery teams.

Responsibilities & Expectations of Role:

Public‑Sector Account Leadership

· Develop a strong understanding of public‑sector digital strategies, operational challenges, compliance requirements, and transformation priorities.

· Build, maintain, and expand trusted relationships with senior decision‑makers, technology leaders, procurement teams, and programme owners across public‑sector organisations.

· Serve as the primary senior contact for all account activity, ensuring consistent communication, strategic alignment, and working closely with our Practices to facilitate exceptional service delivery.

· Lead consultative engagements that connect M365 capabilities to public‑sector needs such as collaboration, hybrid work, security, compliance, service efficiency, and citizen‑service improvement.

· Identify opportunities to integrate M365 with Azure, Power Platform, Dynamics 365, and broader Microsoft cloud solutions to deliver high‑value, end‑to‑end outcomes.

· Manage the full sales cycle including opportunity qualification, bid strategy, proposals, tender responses, commercial modelling, and negotiation.

· Ensure full compliance with public‑sector procurement frameworks, contracts, and governance requirements.

· Develop and maintain accurate account plans, revenue forecasts, and pipeline updates for senior leadership.

· Consistently achieve quarterly and annual growth targets across assigned public‑sector accounts.

· Understand the client's business needs, challenges, and objectives to position Microsoft 365 solutions effectively. Consult with clients on Microsoft's M365 Productivity features, including cloud services (Azure), Artificial intelligence (AI) and enterprise applications.

· Work closely with internal teams, including pre-sales and sales operations, M365 Productivity Consulting Practice, Marketing and Customer Support, to ensure alignment in delivering solutions and addressing customer needs.

· Identify opportunities for cross-selling and upselling other Microsoft Business Solutions within existing accounts to enhance client value and deepen business relationships.

· Collaborate with partners and resellers to maximize business potential. Partner with Microsoft account teams and ecosystem partners to coordinate co‑selling, campaigns, and large‑scale transformation opportunities. Educate clients on new Microsoft (with particular emphasis on M365) products, updates, and innovations within the Microsoft ecosystem.

· Represent Storm Technology at public‑sector conferences, Microsoft events, and industry engagements to deepen market presence and thought leadership.

Skills & Requirements:

Public Sector -Sector Expertise

· Proven success managing large, strategic public sector accounts with complex stakeholder landscapes

· Strong understanding of procurement processes, framework agreements, compliance considerations, funding cycles, and governance standards.

Technical & Solution Capability

· Demonstrated expertise across the full Microsoft 365 portfolio, including productivity, collaboration, security, compliance, analytics and AI capabilities.

· Experience selling modern workplace, cloud, or AI enabled solutions, enabled solutions.

· Relevant Microsoft certifications and commitment to continuous professional development.

Sales & Relationship Excellence

· Track record of consistently exceeding sales targets and growing multi-year client relationships.

· Strong negotiation, influencing, and communication skills with senior executives and technical leaders.

· Ability to translate complex public sector challenges into clear, actionable solution strategies

Professional Competencies

· Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with experience using data to drive account strategy

· Exceptional collaboration skills with the ability to coordinate cross functional teams and collaborate with all internal stakeholders including Practice team and Pre-Sales-functional teams

· Highly organised, proactive, and accountable, with the ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously

· Ambitious, self-motivated, and committed to delivering outstanding client outcomes
