Accredited Counsellors/Therapists are required for sessional work with the HSE Counselling Primary Care (CIPC) service in Dublin South East & Wicklow East.
What is CIPC?
The HSE National Counselling Service (NCS) has developed a Counselling in Primary Care service (CIPC).
CIPC provides short-term counselling in primary care settings to medical card holders aged 18 years and over, delivered by professionally qualified counsellors, psychotherapists, and psychologists under the governance of the HSE Directors of Counselling.
Qualifications and professional experience
An applicant must possess:
* A recognised Level 7 qualification (QQI) in a relevant human science discipline or an equivalent qualification in a health and social care profession or health-related profession.
Additionally, candidates must meet one of the following criteria:
* Hold a degree or postgraduate qualification in counselling or psychotherapy recognised by the Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP), the Irish Council for Psychotherapy (ICP), or the Irish Association of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapy (IABCP).
* Have full accredited membership with one of these bodies: IACP, IABCP, or a relevant ICP body.
or
* Hold a postgraduate qualification in counselling psychology or clinical psychology recognised by the Psychological Society of Ireland (PSI).
* Have commenced the registration process with the PSI or be fully registered with the clinical or counselling psychology division of PSI.
Additionally, applicants should have a minimum of two years relevant post-qualification experience. Please note that this requirement may not apply to some full-time postgraduate qualifications. A selection process will also be conducted.
