This involves applying deep knowledge of DeltaV to create the foundational blueprints for control systems that ensure project success and provide a competitive advantage.ResponsibilitiesLead the functional design and specification of DeltaV batch systems for major life science capital projects.Develop comprehensive functional design documentation for Equipment Modules (EMs) and Phases, which serve as the direct blueprint for software engineers and coders.Act as the primary customer-facing technical expert, managing client requirements, expectations, and providing solutions-focused guidance.Collaborate with and provide technical direction to remote, cross-functional teams of engineers for the implementation of designs.Identify and communicate project risks and technical hurdles, driving resolutions to maintain project timeline and budget.Ensure all design work and documentation complies with life science industry standards (e.g., GAMP5) and client quality requirements.Partner with manufacturing and operations teams to develop efficient and capable automation solutions.ExperienceB.S. or M.S. degree in Chemical, Electrical, Automation Engineering, or a related field.Proven, hands-on experience with Emerson DeltaV systems, specifically with DeltaV Batch, within the Pharma/Biologics industry.Demonstrable experience in authoring functional design documentation (FRS, Design Specs) for EMs and Phases.Strong experience in a customer-facing technical role, with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.Experience collaborating with and leading remote teams of engineers is highly desirable.Knowledge of GAMP5 and validation life cycle methodologies within the life sciences sector.Proficiency with standard MS Office software (Word, Excel).Ability to work autonomously and manage project deliverables effectively.To learn more about this 12-month contract role, apply online or contact Lewis Murray 087 204 3307 for a confidential discussion.Seniority levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typeContractJob functionPharmaceutical Manufacturing
