Excellent opportunity for a qualified or part qualified Accountant to get experience working in a global shared services centre within the RTR team. It is a full-time role, on a 6 month temporary contract based in Dublin South. The team is based on-site 4 days and 1 day from home and enjoy flexible start and finish times.
Duties & Responsibilities of Accountant:
- Responsibility for daily and monthly financial activity under US GAAP.
- Preparation, analysis and posting of journals at month end.
- Review and analysis of balance sheet reconciliations.
- Ensure timely completion of Internal and External audits.
- Perform analytics to ensure accuracy of financial information.
- Ongoing work with internal teams to support project needs arising from new accounting and industry developments or process gaps.
- Co-ordination with other internal parties to meet various reporting deadlines.
- Review and reconciliation of inter-company accounts, involving communication with other Abbott business locations worldwide.
- Review of multi-currency bank reconciliations.
- Complete SOX controls in line with control matrix.
Ideal experience of Accountant:
- Qualified or part qualified accountant – ACA, ACCA, CPA, CIMA.
- 2-3 years' experience preferably with Shared Service Centre/multinational organisation but not essential.
- SAP or other major ERP Systems experience is desirable.
- Strong Excel skills are required.
- Excellent communication skills, attention to detail and flexibility required.
