Overview
We're looking for a driven and entrepreneurial Business Development Manager to join our team on a 6-month fixed-term contract, focused on delivering clear commercial targets across coffee, equipment, and service solutions. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment and is motivated by achieving tangible results.
The Role:
* Drive new business across coffee, equipment, maintenance, and side products within the Out-of-Home Independent (OOHI) channel — including cafés, bakeries, pubs, restaurants, hotels, and leisure venues.
* Identify and convert opportunities for machine upgrades and replacements using UCC data and insights.
* Sell and promote new and refurbished coffee machines as part of tailored customer solutions.
* Proactively build relationships through cold calling, networking, referrals, lead follow-up, and events.
* Maximise cross-sell potential across the full UCC portfolio.
* Respond to inbound enquiries with timely, accurate quotations aligned to commercial terms and margin expectations.
* Ensure smooth onboarding through accurate documentation and coordination.
* ]Support site launches and promotional events to drive visibility and engagement.
* Develop and execute a territory-specific business plan to meet defined KPIs.
* Represent the UCC brand with professionalism and integrity at all times.
* Monitor market trends and competitor activity, sharing insights with the wider commercial team.
The Person:
* Proven background in coffee and foodservice sales.
* Demonstrated success in winning and growing new accounts.
* Self-starter with strong planning and time management skills.
* Excellent relationship-building and consultative selling abilities.
* Confident communicator with strong presentation and negotiation skills.
* Energetic, adaptable, and target-driven.
* Willingness to travel and work flexibly across customer sites.
