An opportunity now exists in Dublin City Council for the position of Executive Manager.
Job Summary/Description
The Executive Manager is a senior leadership position in the Council and is an exciting and challenging role for an experienced manager and may be assigned responsibility in any area of the Council's activities. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the development and implementation of forward thinking strategies and to work closely with the elected Councillors and the Council in delivering the full range of services provided to the highest standard. They will be aware of the environment in which the Council operates and be capable of demonstrating the necessary vision, leadership and experience necessary for the position.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the Council members in fulfilling their statutory and representative functions in accordance with principles of good governance. This includes working effectively with Council members providing policy support, keeping Councillors informed and developing proposals for agreement by the Members prior to implementing in their area of responsibility.
